Georgina is an enthusiastic data scientist, particularly interested in speech related applications. She has worked in various topics such as signing voice analysis, speech recognition and synthesis both in academic and industrial settings. She wants to encourage other women, and particularly young girls, to pursuit careers in technology, engineering and computer science.
Christina Orphanidou
Christina is a Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence expert and works as a Manager at PwC Cyprus, in the Data Analytics and Digital Transformation team. Before joining PwC she completed a DPhil (PhD) in Information Engineering/Machine Learning at the University of Oxford in the UK, after which she worked in academia for a number of years in Oxford and then Cyprus, working mainly on applications of ML in healthcare. She is passionate about science and technology communication and often participates in science festivals and conferences, delivering talks on the subject of Big Data and AI.
