Foutse Yuehgoh

Foutse Yuehgoh

Foutse is a Machine learning researcher, Co-founder of WPSYG, who likes to volunteer on data science-related projects. She holds two master’s degrees, one in Big data and Computer security from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), Senegal, and another in information and data processing from the University of Paris Saclay, France. Currently a Data Analyst at Coexel, France, working mainly on NLP for news recommendation. “In vain have you acquired knowledge if you have not imparted it to others”. --Deuteronomy Rabbah. She aspires to inspire, hoping to have a positive impact in the field of NLP via solving or bringing new solutions to Cameroon in particular and Africa as a whole who is rich in a variety of languages and consequently to the world in general.
Volviane Saphir MFOGO

Volviane Saphir MFOGO

Saphir came from a mathematical and Computer science background from the University of Dschang in Cameroon. She is currently a student at the African Master in Machine Intelligence (AMMI), working toward an MSc in Machine Intelligence as sponsored by Facebook and Google. Before joining AMMI, she obtained an MSc. in Mathematics from African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS Cameroon). Moreover, Saphir is passionate about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it can help our African Citizens save and improve our lives. She was invited to join AI Exponential Thinker and took the role of Ambassador in Cameroon and Ghana. AI Exponential Thinker is the unique Global Network platform of Trust where AI practitioners and AI Enthusiastics are spreading Artificial Intelligence to Everyone and Everywhere. She recently won a grant from Deep learning Indaba for a project which aims to build a medical AI assistant model that has potential to complement clinician’s diagnoses on radiologist images. Email her on smfogo@aimsammi.org
Tatiana Ngoli Moteu

Tatiana Ngoli Moteu

Tatiana Ngoli Moteu is currently a student at African Master in Machine Intelligence Ghana, a scholarship sponsored by Google and Facebook. She is interested in NLP more precisely in the co-referent resolution which is a task on which she would like to continue her research. she has a background in software engineering and in architecture and networks which are the fields studied at the University of Ngaoundere Cameroon. She believes in the fact that machine learning and data science can contribute to develop and improve African languages, which are still considered as under-resourced languages.
Edwige Carole FOSSO

Edwige Carole FOSSO

Edwige is a Quantum Machine Learning researcher, who holds her first Master’s degree in Quantum Physics at Dschang University, West-Cameroon, and is pursuing the second in Machine Intelligence at African Master in Machine Intelligence (AMMI), AIMS-RWANDA. She likes to combine many domains to easily handle local challenges and improve our lives. On the other hand, she realizes that African countries don’t grow fast because most of the time they are not aware of the development and the enhancement of the technology and the current trend. Therefore, awakening the consciences of young Africans and inspiring them is her duty. Life taught her these beautiful
Sorelle Murielle Toukam Tchoumegne

Sorelle Murielle Toukam Tchoumegne

Sorelle is a young passionate and energetic learner who finds her interest in areas of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Machine Learning. She holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University in Egypt, and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Ghana (AIMS Ghana). She looks forward to sharing her experiences as well as engaging with fellow Machine Learning enthusiasts, together to bring awareness of opportunities available in the field of AI.
Belona SONNA

Belona SONNA

Belona is an Ethics AI Enthusiast in Healthcare systems which is the field she would like to pursue a research career in. She can define herself as an applied computer scientist. She got her first master degree in computer science at the university of Ngaoundere( Cameroon). After she did a one year intensive master in Machine Learning at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences of Rwanda. She strongly believes that Data science done in the right way can improve people's lives in general and healthcare systems in developing countries. Coming from a developing country (Cameroon) where the lack of resources and doctors at hospitals is crucial, she saw it as an opportunity to contribute to the solutions. You can email her on bsonna@aimsammi.org
