Saffia is an M.Sc student at African Master of Machine Intelligence ( AMMI-Ghana). She finished my Master’s Degree in information security and digital forensics at Institute of technology Blanchardstown - Ireland in 2016 and graduated from the University of Khartoum, Sudan in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences. Previously, she worked at Sudan International University as a full time lecturer where she taught undergraduate courses in Information security, Computer Programming and Business Computing. To Saffia: "I am broadly interested in using Machine Intelligence to solve Security
issues. I am passionate about learning, teaching, reading, writing and knowing about different cultures, places and having fun."
Aisha Alaagib
Aisha Alaagib pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Khartoum where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences. She gained admission to the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences where she got her Master’s in Mathematical Sciences. After that, she had been admitted to the first cohort of African Master in Machine Intelligence (AMMI) at AIMS-Rwanda center.
After finishing her internship at Vector Institute in Toronto, Canada, she joined AMMI program at AIMS Ghana as a teaching assistant and engaged in a research group lead by Prof. Moustapha Cisse. She also collaborates in doing some research with her classmates at AMMI and her lectures. In her free time she likes doing volunteer work and helping others.
Her interests lie in the intersection of Computer Vision, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing, with a focus on developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems that can understand the vision (i.e. understand the content of the image), speech and text (i.e. understand to communicate with human language). This kind of area is helpful for people who have a disability of speaking and hearing. Generally, she is interested in understanding the principle of learning through the study of representation learning of multi modal.
